Secure Browser files for Windows and Mac

For PC Users

 

  1. To begin the download, select the Windows link.
  2. Save the file to your computer.
  3. To begin the installation of the Secure Browser, double-click on the MSI file that you have just downloaded.
  4. If a Warning pops up showing the phrase “Windows Protected Your PC”, select the “Run Anyway” option.
  5. It is recommended you accept the default settings for the rest of the installation.
  6. Please run the Verification steps below:
    1. Press the Windows button + ‘R’ in your keyboard to view the following popup window.
    2. Type “ESSB://ISDEMO” in the text area as displayed above and click OK.
    3. Click “Yes” to view the “Lockdown browser installed successfully” message in a new browser window.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Do not launch the browser prior to your examination. On the day of your examination, the Secure Browser will launch automatically when you start your exam.

Installation Instruction – PC

For MAC Users

 

If you have previously installed an older version of ES Secure Browser, please follow the instruction video to uninstall it first.

  1. To begin the download, select the Mac link.
  2. Save the file to your computer.
  3. Extract/unzip the folder ES-MAC-SecureBrowser.
  4. To begin the installation of the Secure Browser, double-click on ESSecureBrowser-V2.5.dmg.
  5. It is recommended you accept the default settings for the rest of the installation.
  6. Drag and drop the Secure Browser icon to the Application folder.
  7. If you need to unlock security and privacy policies to install Secure Browser please see the instructions below:

Pour utilisateurs de PC 

 

  1. Pour commencer le téléchargement, sélectionnez le lien à Windows.
  2. Enregistrez le fichier sur votre ordinateur.
  3. Pour commencer l’installation du navigateur sécurisé, doublecliquez sur le fichier MSI que vous venez de télécharger.
  4. Si un avertissement apparait avec la phrase « Windows Protected your PC », sélectionnez l’option « Run Anyway ».
  5. Nous vous recommandons d’accepter les paramètres par défaut pour le reste de l’installation.
  6. Veuillez exécuter les étapes de vérification suivantes :
    1. Appuyez sur la touche Windows + « R » sur votre clavier pour voir la fenêtre contextuelle suivante.
    2. Tapez « ESSB://ISDEMO » dans la zone de texte telle qu’affichée ci-dessus et cliquez sur « OK ».
    3. Cliquez sur « Oui » pour voir le message « Lockdown browser installed successfully » dans une nouvelle fenêtre de navigation.

  1. Pour commencer le téléchargement, sélectionnez le lien à Mac.
  2. Enregistrez le fichier sur votre ordinateur.
  3. Pour commencer l’installation du navigateur sécurisé, doublecliquez sur SsecureBrowser_2.2.dmg
  4. Nous vous recommandons d’accepter les paramètres par défaut pour le reste de l’installation.
  5. Glissez-déposez l’icône de navigateur sécurisé dans le dossier d’application. 
  6. Si vous avez besoin de débloquer les politiques de sécurité et de confidentialité pour installer un navigateur sécurisé, veuillez consulter la version PDF du manuel d’installation sur Mac.
